Magic Keyboard

Magic Keyboard media keys and remapping on Windows.

Tenon makes the function row work (brightness, volume, media playback) and can swap Command and Control, so keyboard shortcuts you use on a Mac carry over to Windows.

Guides: connect it · media & function keys · Cmd/Ctrl remap · compare to Magic Utilities

Function row

Media & brightness keys

Volume, playback, and brightness on the top row, with a toggle to make F1–F12 the default instead.

Remap

Cmd / Ctrl swap

Swap Command and Control inside the Magic Keyboard's own driver, so your other keyboards keep behaving the way they do now.

Battery

Battery over USB

The keyboard's charge level in the system tray while it's connected over USB. Over Bluetooth the Magic Keyboard exposes no battery to Windows — there's no battery property on the device to read — so the percentage comes from the wired connection.

Waitlist

Get the Magic Keyboard beta first.

The current USB-C Magic Keyboard is working today, Touch ID and numpad models included — the fingerprint sensor itself is Mac-only. Older Lightning keyboards and non-US layouts aren't validated yet; the supported devices page tracks every model. Join the waitlist for an invite.
